September ’17 Grande Performer: Jenny Hor

davidwicaiBlog, Grande Performer

The September Grande Performer is Jenny Hor, a program specialist with the Office of Multicultural Affairs. Jenny started as an intern in 2014, and has stayed with Multicultural Affairs since that time. From the nomination submitted by a co-worker:

“Jenny is very skilled at data analysis, working with numbers, and research, but those are only a few of the amazing things she can do. She always keeps herself informed about state statutes, policies, and guidelines, especially for our Multicultural Commission and Martin Luther King, Jr. Human Rights Commission. She is open to learning new skills to support our office and is a team player. This year, she has started leading the planning for the Multicultural Youth Leadership Day at the Capitol and Multicultural Youth Leadership Summit. She has been doing an excellent job in coordinating tasks, timelines, and keeping the momentum going.

“As her colleague, I’ve enjoyed getting to know Jenny and learning about her many wonderful qualities. She is bright, patient, efficient, caring, professional, and passionate. She shares a wealth of knowledge about her culture and is always willing to learn about others. I’ve learned much from Jenny and she always inspires me to do better in my job everyday.”
